Facebook entró al mundo de la geolocalización con un servicio llamado Places, que permite que a través de tu teléfono con GPS puedas registrarte en una ubicación, compartiendo dónde estás con tus “amigos” de la red social. O sea, es lo mismo que Foursquare, pero dentro de Facebook.
Como era de esperar, el asunto ha causado algo de revuelo debido a problemas de privacidad. Resulta que Places permite que, además de registrar dónde estás tú, puedas registrar dónde están tus amigos.
Inicialmente, Places se lanzo en Estados Unidos pero ahora llega también a España, esta disponible para iPhone y Android, aunque también será posible entrar vía otros sistemas como touch.facebook.com, por ahora no se ha hablado nada de una aplicación con soporte oficial para Places fuera de iOS.
